DANAHER & WALSH SECURES £12m OF NEW CONTRACTS
Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering has recently secured £12m worth of new contracts across the Midlands and East Anglia.
The largest single contract award is from Pigeon Developments, for Section 278 highway works to open up a new development site just off the A14 at Wherstead near Ipswich.
Following on from the success of the Putney Road highway improvement scheme in Leicester, D&W has been appointed by Balfour Beatty to carry out major highway works in Coventry as part of the Air Quality Project.
The contract haul includes major works for Leicester City Council, procured via their Highways Framework. Highway works are to be undertaken on Abbey Park Road in the city, adjacent to two existing D&W bridge construction and refurbishment schemes.
Meanwhile, orders have been placed for works to pedestrianise St George’s Street near the city centre, and for environmental improvement works to Ottawa Road in the St Matthew’s area of the city.
Danaher & Walsh’s ongoing relationship with Milestone Infrastructure and Cambridgeshire County Council continues following the award of a further scheme of works on the A1307, this time at Hildersham.
D&W has been appointed by Homes England to carry out works at Ansty Park in Coventry to improve the infrastructure for bus services.
Following on from Section 278 highway works at a new petrol filling station in Market Deeping, Lincolnshire, Lindum Group has appointed D&W to undertake on-site works for the same project.
In addition, Danaher & Walsh has been appointed to Via East Midlands’ Partner Delivery Framework, which paves the way for the award of further contracts, supporting Via’s delivery across Nottinghamshire and beyond.
Speaking about the recent contract awards, Danaher & Walsh’s Commercial Director Ian Gilbert said: “We’re very pleased to have secured a significant level of forward workload across our Midlands and Eastern operational areas. We are appreciative that the majority is repeat business from our existing client base.
“In line with our business growth ambitions, we are targeting larger value contracts. We’re delighted that our valued clients continue to trust us to deliver schemes to the usual high standard.”
