East Midlands based, Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering is proud to announce the signing of a five-year contract as part of the Integrated Maintenance and Repair for Water Recycling (IMR WR) alliance. This significant milestone ensures our continued collaboration with Anglian Water and our alliance partners—Clancy, Claret, and Public Sewer Services—until 2030.

The IMR WR alliance plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing the water recycling network across the Anglian Water region. From repairing burst mains to monitoring sewage flow and reducing pollution risks, the alliance ensures reliable and sustainable water recycling services. This new contract, running from April 2025 to April 2030, marks the start of AMP8 (Asset Management Period 8), an Ofwat regulated period focused on achieving ambitious performance targets for water services.

Danaher & Walsh will continue to deliver a wide range of essential services, including:

  • Monitor installation
  • Blockage clearance
  • Proactive cleaning and CCTV inspection of sewer networks
  • Tanker management
  • Ironworks maintenance (manhole covers)
  • Air valve replacements
  • 24/7 reactive emergency response
  • Network maintenance and capital enhancement projects

All five alliance partners have committed to a sustainable commercial venture, with new measures and performance targets designed to drive reductions in pollution and health and safety incidents. This collaborative approach further fosters innovation and safer working environments.

This contract extends Danaher & Walsh’s relationship with Anglian Water, which has already spanned 2 decades. The partnership has grown stronger with each project, and this new chapter will see continued collaboration to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes for water recycling services across the region.

Dan Danaher, Managing Director, Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd commented:
“At the heart of our partnership is a shared vision—ensuring that our combined expertise, innovation, and dedication deliver the best possible outcomes. Through this collaborative approach, we consistently achieve results that benefit our organisations and our communities. We greatly value the trust Anglian Water places in us, and we are excited to continue working towards our common goal of sustainable and resilient water management. Together, we look forward to driving excellence in every project, delivering high-quality outcomes, and making a positive impact for years to come.”

Paul Louth, Head of Water Recycling at Anglian Water, commented, "The IMR WR alliance is vital for servicing and enhancing our sewer network. As we move into AMP8, our ambition is to further improve network performance. With unpredictable weather and an increasing workload, this contract solidifies our strong partnership, enabling us to tackle upcoming challenges together."
