Scope Construction British Chambers of Commerce Business Awards 2023 - Regional Winner

Scope Construction Ltd has won the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Chamber Business Award in the Rapid Riser category for the East Midlands region for 2023.

This Award recognises “an organisation that can demonstrate exceptional levels of growth with a strong plan for sustainable financial performance”.

The company, which has increased turnover from almost £700,000 in its first full year 2020 to a projected £8m in 2023 and is the current East Midlands Chamber Leicestershire Business of the Year, provides construction services to the high-end residential, commercial and development markets – has a vision to increase revenue to £20m by 2026.

Scope was nominated for the Rapid Riser Award earlier in the summer, as the winner of the East Midlands Chamber Outstanding Growth Award in Leicestershire in 2022.

Maz Patel, Managing Director, who co-founded Scope Construction with business partner Paz Patel in 2019, said: “It was fantastic news this week to hear that our growth journey has received national recognition. “After building a strong foothold in Leicestershire by becoming a key member of the local business community as well as providing exceptional services to clients, our vision is to continue expanding our presence across the wider East Midlands by seeking new partnership opportunities in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Scope Construction has provided construction, refurbishment and interior design services for a number of £multi-million projects – ranging from commercial office refurbishments, leisure and hospitality schemes, community projects and large private rental residential and student accommodation blocks.

Notable schemes have included the What A Goal sports and entertainment venue in Leicester, the Commercial Square Office Development in Leicester and multiple student accommodation and private rental schemes in Loughborough and Nottingham.

As well as expanding in to Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire in existing markets, Scope’s next three-year plan aims to diversify into the public sector.
