Pick Everard is a leading multi-disciplinary property, construction, and infrastructure consultancy, with a 700-strong team supporting clients from its 14 offices throughout the country – including an office in Nottingham. Being placed in the heart of the Midlands is also geographically advantageous, as our clients are spread across the country – so this central base is really important to us.
Our commitment to delivering high-quality built environment projects for a range of sectors is supported further by our appointments to some of the UK construction industry’s biggest frameworks. These appointments afford our public sector clients across the country to access our services through a fully compliant procurement process and showcases the excellent work being carried out by the teams.
As well as our focus on delivering excellent services on a national basis, the firm is committed to the delivery of projects that uplift the region’s offering, local economy and that deliver real social value for the community.
We are proud to have sponsored Nottingham Hot Property for the last six years and support local charities across the region, such as Base51 and Switch Up.
The state-of-the-art multi-million-pound postgraduate centre at Nottingham Trent University (NTU blends advanced educational technology with a focus on student wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
Designed around social interaction and collaboration the three-storey postgraduate centre features collaborative classrooms, research centres and social areas, emphasising sustainability and local wildlife support.
The facility was delivered by Pick Everard, providing architecture, interior design and landscaping services to an SKA Silver Standard.
“This project was a huge success and demonstrates how working collaboratively with local consultants and contractors you can achieve something very special. The project was delivered on time, within budget and to the right quality. The refurbishment and re-use of an existing building continues to demonstrate our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, in a sustainable and responsible manner.” - Umesh Desai Director of Estates.
Pick Everard is working on the regeneration taking place on the southern side of Nottingham city centre. The milestones completed so far saw the transformation of existing highways into new green, pedestrian-friendly public spaces, the completion of Broadmarsh carpark and Bus Station and the Nottingham Central Library.
The new urban play space on Collin Street opened earlier this year, which features specially designed swings, a play trail with timber stepping blocks, balancing walkways, a seesaw and green planting.
As well as the new play space, Collin Street is now fully open for people to walk through, with a traffic-free route connecting the Green Heart, where construction work has started, and Lister Gate, with the new green public space on Sussex Street next to Nottingham College, which features a mini amphitheatre, a skateable space and a multi-use games area.
The ‘Green Heart’ public realm space is a major transformation of the city’s Broad Marsh area, formerly the site of the shopping centre. This wildlife-rich space is set to open this summer.
“Our involvement in the Broad Marsh regeneration has been a collaborative effort that is breathing new life into a central part of Nottingham, as well as reshaping the way we view our towns and cities. Combined with our work to deliver the new Central Library, we’re proud to be helping shape the area into a destination offering, with a vision that blends Nottingham’s iconic heritage with modern design. We’re looking forward to continuing our work and the momentum it brings in building a key part of East Midland’s economy.” – Oliver Hatton, Director of Project Management at Pick Everard
Pick Everard is particularly passionate about ensuring that students – the industry leaders of tomorrow – have the best possible learning environments to develop their skills within. As well as this, the support of the UK’s healthcare provision, particularly the NHS is a key focus.
A key scheme for Nottingham Trent University demonstrates this commitment to delivering the highest quality education and healthcare facilities together, with Pick Everard providing architecture, interior design and principal design services from concept to completion.
Set in the university’s Clifton campus, the renovation of existing NTU buildings and the completion of a new building will serve as a base for the Institute of Health & Allied Professions, which offers a range of specialist courses such as adult and mental health nursing and paramedic science. The whole facility is focused on equipping the healthcare providers of the future with the knowledge and hands-on skills required for modern healthcare.
We work together to make the extraordinary a reality. Our multi-disciplinary consultancy teams deliver outstanding places and spaces that create lasting value for clients and communities for generations to come. With over 150 years of experience behind us, we can draw upon a wealth of industry knowledge to deliver your projects efficiently and cost effectively.
Our collaborative ethos, range of technical expertise and early adoption of innovation sets us apart in the market and ensures we deliver value for money for our clients and positively contribute to the industry as a whole.
