Formed over twenty years ago in 2003, with our head office in Hinckley, Salus is a leading Registered Building Control Approver registered and regulated by the Building Safety Regulator providing services covering all areas of Building Control to corporate clients. Additionally we also provide Building Regulation Consultancy and Fire Safety Consultancy across all sectors. With our Headquarters based in Leicestershire and a further nine regional offices we are well placed with a high number of specialist Level 3 surveyors to cover all projects across England and Wales.

The role of Building Control has changed over the past 12 months following the introduction of the Building Safety Regulator and Salus has fully embraced these changes. As a Registered Building Control Approver our role is to ensure the regulatory requirements are met by both the design team and construction teams. To enable us to fulfil this role our Building Control Approval Services has a high number of Class 3 and Class 4 Specialist Registered Building Inspectors, who are able to provide Building Control Approval Services on Buildings over 18m in height and buildings utilising Modern Methods of Construction/ non traditional building forms.

As part of our Building Control Approver services we are well placed to provide building control advisor services to the DIO / MOD under their JSP850 compliance procedures and are providing this service across a number of DIO facilities.

Where Salus are not the building control approver for the scheme we can assist you with your schemes for Building Regulation assistance, in terms of reviewing the information, assisting the team in the application and interruption of the guidance.

Whilst our recently expanded Fire Safety Consultancy team can provide fire safety advice and support from RIBA stage 0 through to Stage 6 including fire safety specialist site inspections. Additionally the team can assist with reviews of existing buildings including providing retrospective means of escape strategies.

Once your building has been completed we are able to provide Fire Risk Assessments.

Following our recent successful renewal of our Professional Indemnity Insurance we can provide our consultancy services on any height of building.

Salus only employ directly employed colleagues therefore your scheme whether on site or in the administration of the project all our staff are based within a regional office, every client is designated a Salus project manager to ensure a consistent interpretation on each and every project regardless of location.
