Dear Member
LAST CHANCE TO BOOK - ONLY A FEW SPACES LEFT
ProCon Leicestershire has invited members to their first event of 2023 - A breakfast visit to The Space Park on Wednesday 15 February, 8.00am to 10.30am.
Space Park Leicester is the result of a successful collaboration between the City and University of Leicester and many public sector partners before construction; and during design and construction. It builds upon the heritage and space-science excellence of the University of Leicester.
The facility is a collaborative community of industry, academics and students working together to drive growth in space and space-enabled sectors. Space Park aims to support the ever-expanding growth of the space sector, boosting economic performance in the East Midlands region, while becoming a strategically important asset in the delivery of the UK’s industrial competitiveness.
The building is concerned with looking back from space towards earth as well as looking outward and is home to the University of Leicester’s Earth Observation Science (EOS) group which uses data from sophisticated instruments in space to tackle today’s greatest environmental challenges, such as the climate emergency and air pollution.
Hear from Steven Pidwill of Shepheard Epstein Hunter and Dan Mason of Pulse Consult who will talk us through this amazing project. Plus we will have the opportunity to tour the facility. We do hope that you can join us for what will be a very informative event.
